Press access to journals

To receive press access to the Physical Review journals, first register for an APS journals account.

After registering, email media@aps.org with the subject line “Press access to APS journals.” In the body of the email, please include your full name, APS journals account username, and the email address associated with your account.

Once we verify your status as a journalist, we will grant complimentary access for one year, after which you may email us to request a renewal.

Meeting registration

If you already have APS press credentials, please log in to your APS account before registering for a meeting on its website. Visit the APS meeting calendar to find upcoming meetings.

Public information officers

APS collaborates with press teams at research institutions to publicize research published in the Physical Review journals or presented at APS meetings. Publication dates, manuscript copies, and complimentary registration to most APS meetings are available upon request.

Embargo policy

Unless otherwise noted, papers submitted to the Physical Review journals are not embargoed. The titles and abstracts of most accepted manuscripts are listed on each journal’s website. Full-text PDFs are available to reporters upon request.

Occasionally, authors and editors will agree to use an embargo. In such cases, the manuscript will not appear on the accepted paper list or on any other public repository, including preprint servers. The APS Press Office reserves the right to set embargoes at its sole discretion.
