The Development Office is currently conducting a $4.0 million campaign to provide support to key science education and outreach programs of the Society. The office also works with the Membership Department to raise annual funds via the membership renewal process, promotes planned gifts from members of the Society, and (of specific interest to the units) is responsible for the financial aspects of the Prizes and Awards Program. In this regard, Development has worked with numerous APS units on fund raising for new and established prizes and awards. Assistance includes helping develop solicitation strategy and materials, defining donor prospects, providing administrative support, tracking and recognizing gifts and providing long term stewardship over the funds. Unit leaders are encouraged to contact the Development Office to coordinate their fund raising efforts with overall APS fund raising initiatives. For further information, contact:
