Special events for undergraduate Physicists will be held at the 2010 March Meeting of the American Physical Society in Portland, Oregon.

Travel Supplement Grants

Meeting registration is free for undergraduate members of the APS (including affiliate members with SPS membership).   A limited number of $200 travel supplements are available for students presenting at the 2010 APS March meeting in Portland, OR.

   Don't delay!  Travel supplements will be awarded in the order in which applications were received.

Travel Grant Application Steps

1. Prepare an abstract.
     
2. Submit your abstract online through the March Meeting Abstract Submission system by November 20, 2009.
    
3. In consultation with your research mentor, select the appropriate sorting category when submitting your abstract. Abstracts submitted under the Undergraduate Research sorting category ("18.4") will be placed in the undergraduate sessions with presentations on similar topics.
    
4. Email a copy of your abstract to Cathy Mader (mader@aps.org) to apply for a Supplemental Travel Grant Award.
    
5. Complete the March Meeting Registration Form and submit it by fax (301) 209-0844 or Cathy Mader (mader@aps.org) by January 15, 2010.

Peruse the 2010 Undergraduate Epitome before the meeting to see what sessions you might be interested in attending.
