APS recently submitted a public comment responding to the EPA’s proposed policy amendments to curtail regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. APS opposes the rule change and urges the EPA to instead carry out a rigorous assessment of methane emissions — a major contributor to climate change. Recent scientific results indicate that the negative environmental impact of methane is significantly higher than previously estimated. APS encourages members to submit comments on the proposed amendments by the November 25 deadline.
