PhysTEC: The Physics Teacher Education Coalition

The Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC) promotes the education of exemplary high school physics teachers in response to a critical shortage across the United States. PhysTEC member universities across the nation receive guidance and resources to transform their physics teacher training programs into models that increase diversity and inclusion, student retention, and graduation rates of aspiring physics teachers.

PTEC PhysTEC is a partnership between the American Physical Society (APS) and the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). The project is funded primarily by the National Science Foundation, and has received significant funds from the APS's 21st Century Campaign, as well as direct and in-kind support from each of its partner institutions.
