Michael D. Graham

"For novel research that provided fresh perspectives and laid the groundwork for the nonlinear dynamics of complex and multiphase fluids, including the interaction between polymer dynamics and turbulence, and the microhydrodynamics of complex and biological fluids."

Michael D. Graham received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the Univestiy fo Dayton in 1986 and his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1992. After postdoctoral appointments at the University of Houston and Princeton University, he joined University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. He chaired the department from 2006 to 2009. Graham is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor and Harvey D. Spangler Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and also holds appointments in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Physics.
