International Participation in CUWiP

The APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) are supported by US federal funds that restrict participation at US sites to students who attend US institutions. The organizers want the resources and networking opportunities to be available to as many people as possible. To that end, the conference costs are fully covered by federal and philanthropic funding, and resources provided by local host sites, with the exception of a small participant  registration fee, which can be waived.

To enhance availability, APS CUWiP plans to offer recordings from the 2021 virtual CUWiP to the larger community of women in physics and is exploring other methods to allow interaction and a community of peer support among the broader international community of women in physics. If you would like to stay informed about conference offerings to non-registrants and learn about our online women in physics community, sign up here.

There are several international CUWiPs, including CCUWiP in Canada and CUWiP UK, that are organized with funding independently from APS CUWiP. If you are interested in organizing a CUWiP in your country/region, we would love to talk to you about best practices, share our written resources, and spread the word about your event via the CUWiP website and APS social media.
