Teacher-Scientist Alliance Workshop

tsaFrom January 11-15, 11 teams of scientist and science educators, 51 in all, from selected sites around the country participated in the third Elementary Science Education Reform Institute of the APS's Teacher-Scientist Alliance Institute. For five intense days, the participants examined a whole range of issues emphasizing the hands-on approach to teaching and systemic reform. The APS is playing a major role in the emerging national consensus on what constitutes a good science education for children. Funding for this program is provided by the APS-AAPT Campaign for Physics.
