DAMOP 2020 COVID-19 Update

DAMOP and APS are concerned with the health and well-being of its members, attendees, and staff, as well as the Portland, OR community. Because of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, we are canceling the in-person DAMOP Meeting scheduled for June 1-5. If you have already registered and paid a fee, meeting refunds will be processed as soon as possible.

APS DAMOP 2020 Virtual Meeting

Presenters: Instructions for giving a live talk and/or uploading your presentation slides, poster, or a pre-recorded talk is being sent to presenting authors. The deadline for uploading presentation slides, posters, or a pre-recorded talk is Tuesday, May 26 at 5:00pm EDT.

Although it will not be possible to hold the in-person meeting this year, DAMOP is pleased to announce the APS DAMOP 2020 Virtual Meeting. We are excited for this opportunity to share and be inspired by the latest research from around the world.The dates of the meeting will remain the same as the in-person meeting (June 1-5, 2020). Please note that all session times will be Pacific Daylight Time.

We encourage broad participation from the physics community. The DAMOP meeting will focus on the following topic areas:

  • Structure and Properties of Atoms, Ions, and Molecules
  • Atomic, Molecular, and Charged Particle Collisions
  • Ultrafast and Strong Field Physics
  • Lasers and Quantum Optics
  • Quantum Information Science
  • Degenerate gases and many-body physics
  • Cold atoms, ions, molecules, and plasmas
  • General Precision Measurements/Fundamental Constants

All those wishing to view the sessions must register online. There is no cost to register for the DAMOP meeting. If you are not an APS member, you will need to create a free membership account.

  • The opportunity to engage with other participants via video chat (one-on-one or in groups of up to 50)
