Scholarships

M. Hildred Blewett Scholarship
APS offers this scholarship to enable women to return to physics research careers after taking time off for family reasons.
Minority Scholarship
The APS Scholarship for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors has the goal of increasing the number of minority students who obtain a degree in physics. Any high school senior, college freshman or sophomore who is an African American, Hispanic American, or Native American US citizen or permanent legal resident is eligible to apply.

Lectureships

Beller Lectureship
The Beller Lectureship was endowed by Esther Hoffman Beller for the purpose of bringing distinguished physicists from abroad as invited speakers at APS meetings.
Marshak Lectureship
The Marshak Lectureship, endowed by Ruth Marshak in honor of her late husband and former APS president, Robert Marshak, is to provide travel support for physicists from "developing nations or the Eastern Block" invited to speak at APS meetings.

Fellowships

Congressional Science Fellowship Program
It is the aim of the APS and AIP in sponsoring these fellowships to provide a public service by making available individuals with scientific knowledge and skills to Members of Congress, few of whom have a technical background.

Mass Media Fellowship Program
In affiliation with the popular AAAS program, APS will sponsor two ten-week fellowships for physics students to work full-time over the summer as reporters, researchers, and production assistants in mass media organizations nationwide.
