Eghan has been a pivotal figure in applied optics research since 1993.

    Moses Jojo Eghan earned a PhD in physics (applied optics) from the University of Cape Coast in 2001, supported by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Italy. Eghan has been a pivotal figure in applied optics research since 1993. Leading research at the Laser and Fibre Optics Centre (LAFOC) since 2008, his expertise spans laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy, optical imaging, digital image processing, and collaborative work in computer science. With over 60 publications, he served as a regular associate of the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), honorary president of the Ghana Science Association (2017-2019), and liaison officer for Ghana at the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). Eghan is a proficient contributor to the African Physical Review (AfPR) as associate/regional editor, and he is a member of the Ghana Institute of Physics. As provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences at the University of Cape Coast, Eghan actively engages in external examination, accreditation roles, and committee memberships at various levels.
