Malu is a physicist by training, author-publisher, and promoter of Science and Technology Week in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DCR). She is currently an International education consultant and senior referent for the UNESCO International Bureau of Education. She is also an honorary member of the Presidential Panel for the DRC's term of office at the head of the African Union, 2021-2022, and a Member of the Académie Royale des Sciences d'Outre-Mer de Belgique.
